A generous donor has offered to MATCH any donations that Pals For Life receives in the month of April, up to $5,000.00. That means that your donation brings TWICE the help!
Every day our pet visitation programs bring healing to those who are hurting, emotionally, mentally or physically. Our Read to Pet Pals programs help children gain the self confidence they need. Pets help when nothing or no one else can.
PFL Pets make a difference. And now you can too.
Please help us reach our goal of raising $5,000.00. We need your help to be able to continue bringing the healing love of pets to those who so desperately need it.

We are a non-profit organization founded in 1985 that brings pets to those who need them throughout the Delaware Valley. Our mission is to enable people to lead happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives through interaction with companion animals.
- We provide Pet Visitation programs to nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior centers and mental health facilities.
- We offer a Read to Pet Pals program to schools and libraries, which enables children to improve their literacy skills and self-esteem by reading to a loving audience of dogs and other pets.
- To help students relieve stress, PFL pets visits colleges during final exams to interact with the students.
- We can also provide private visits to the homebound and pet teams to assist psychologists and psychiatrists with private patients. Please call for more information about private visits.
PFL pets include dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. We also have 2 resident rabbits that participate on pet visits – Marble and Bubbles.
All pets must pass an evaluation in order to participate. Any breed of dog is eligible.
Other types of pets that have participated include ferrets, a duck (Mrs. Peabody), a miniature horse, a bearded dragon and a turtle (Turbo).
