Pet Visitations at Congregate Care Centers
Our flagship program brings the joy of companion animals to those who need it the most. The pets provide opportunities for socialization and fun. Petting the dogs encourages physical mobility, holding a bunny provides sensory stimulation, and sharing anecdotes about previous beloved pets improves memory clarity. It can brighten the day of everyone to experience the wagging tails and enthusiastic greetings of their furry visitors.
Our pet visits take place at:
- nursing homes
- hospitals
- rehabilitation centers
- senior centers
- behavioral health centers
- group homes
- social service day programs
- crisis response centers
- day enrichment programs
The visits can be adapted to meet each facilities’ needs. Pets can be brought to visit residents in their bedrooms and/or group activity rooms. One-on-one visits may also be arranged.
